French Destination Wedding at Côte d’Azur
Maike + Morgan
Flying over for this French destination wedding was totally special for me as this had been my first wedding in France and the first one outside a church. I loved it!
Maike met Morgan when she was in France for her studies. She returned to her home for a few more month before she decided to go back to France and live with her love. A few years later he popped the question and they were going to be married. Sounds like a dream, eh?
It was a dream wedding! Getting married (and living) were others go on vacation. Antibes is a totally cute city at the Côte d’Azur with Mediterranean charme and a lot of small villages around. The wedding took place at the estate Le Paradis des Oiseaux surrounded by green trees, white pillars and with a nice view over the surrounding area.
Maike and Morgan decided to get married at the Hotel de Ville (civil ceremony) in the morning and then head over to the estate to have a free service that was only about their love – no official, no chaplain. They had this beautiful ceremony read by his uncle (the same one who did the civil ceremony) where they read part of the text in his and part in her mother tongue. It was beautiful.
The little daughter was totally confused about her mother looking like a princess :)
I think he forgot his text or did he say something wrong? I can’t really remember (it was the french part, so I only knew they were laughing :D My french is enough to coordinate a group portrait, to get along with the groom’s mom but I forgot most of what I learned at school…).
